IMPORTANT SCHOLARSHIP OPPORTUNITY

The USCCB Subcommittee on Catholic Home Missions is is providing up to $10,000 to fund registration fee scholarships for pastoral workers who live in mission funded dioceses or eparchies on a first come first served basis.  Scholarships are limited to two pastoral workers per diocese.  Hotel and travel expenses are NOT included.  To take advantage of this opportunity, indicate on the registration form that you live in a Catholic Home Mission funded diocese (see list below), make sure you fill in the name of your diocese on the form, and show that you wish to use the scholarship.  Click on "invoice me" at the payment page and if you qualify, the scholarship funds will be applied to your registration.  Contact Minette Sternke at president@ncod.org if you have any questions about this opportunity.  

Pastoral Week 2026 will be held at the Embassy Suites by Hilton Portland Tigard, 9000 SW Washington Square Road, Tigard, OR

Room rates will be $145 per night with up to 4 people in the room.  Parking for one vehicle will be included.  Also included is a made to order breakfast each morning and an evening reception with hor d'oeuvres.  

A limited number of rooms has been reserved at this rate - FIRST COME FIRST SERVED!  If you are extending your stay before or after the conference, the rate is available for 3 days before or after the conference, but you must call the hotel.  The phone number is 503-644-4000.  Tell them you are with the National Catholic Office for the Deaf block.

Washington Square, the largest mall in Oregon, is 0.01 miles from the hotel with food options in many price ranges.  


LETTERS OF GOOD STANDING

All clergy who want to participate in liturgies or celebrate sacraments during Pastoral Week MUST provide a letter of good standing to the Chancellor's office of the Portland Archdiocese BY JANUARY 10, 2026.  Emails should be addressed to chancellorcoordinator@archpdx.org.  Postal letters should be addressed as follows:
